Abrasive Recovery & Recycling

Environmental concerns and cost reduction make recovering and recycling blasting abrasive an obvious choice if the abrasive can be contained and captured.

We offer two systems that can accomplish this for either on site or in a facility.

Mechanical Recovery System

Mechanical recovery system

If you are blasting in a shed with garnet or slag abrasives you can save a fortune in abrasive costs by installing an abrasive recycling system. This unit is designed for use with Dura-Grit steel grit. This abrasive can be recycled hundreds of times and will provide perfectly cleaned surfaces at the right profile height.

Average Dura-Grit consumption is only 0.5kg/m2 (0.1lb/ft2). After blasting, simply recover the abrasive into the loading hopper and the system will recycle the grit to remove all over and under sized waste. Perfectly cleaned abrasive is deposited into 10/20MT storage hopper ready for reuse. Recycle until the abrasive eventually becomes dust.

This system features the following:

> Can be fed by belt conveyor or hoper.
> 7.5 tonne steel grit per hour bucket elevator.
> Rotary screen for removal of oversized waste.
> Airwash separator for removal of dust from good reusable abrasive.
> Abrasive storage hopper with 10/20 tonne steel grit capacity and butterfly outlets for 4 blast pots.
> Maintenance/adjustment ladder, platform and guard rails.

Vacuum Recover & Recycle Tower

Vacuum Recover & Recycle Tower

Suitable especially for inaccesable or enclosed areas such as storage tanks, box girder constructions, tank internals at shipyards etc., this system offers great savings in time and manpower.

The Vacuum Recovery Tower system cuts costs by reducing cleanup time and reclaiming reuseable abrasives whith its long reach and powerful suction even hard to reach areas can be accessed.

System consists of vacuum recovery pumps and a series of mechanical vibratory sieves, cyclones, and dust collector to simultaneously recover and clean the abrasive prior to reuse.

90kw AERZEN vacuum unit provides a recovery rate of 6-15mt/hr, depending on abrasive type and distance.

Tower System Consists of 4 sections;

> 4m3 Cyclone Hopper
> Separation Container
> 4m3 Storage Hopper
> 4sets of 200lt Remote Control Blast Pots

Each module is built into a 10 foot container frame and each module can fixed each other with container fixing locks
