Space saving, noise dampening. Designed and built tough specially for blasting
Reduce Space and Noise
To ensure dust does not leak from the door into surrounding work areas, the sides of the door are fitted with specially formed steel channels to provide tight sealing. The bottom of the door is fitted with C channel beam and Linatex rubber seal. The seal can be shaped to seal against above ground rails.
Tight Seals Ensure No Dust Leakage
To ensure dust does not leak from the door into surrounding work areas, the sides of the door are fitted with specially formed steel channels to provide tight sealing. On larger doors potential operator injury from a falling door is eliminated by the inclusion of an automatic physical stop system. The Dura-Door rubber roll up door is available with all new Blastechnik blast rooms and as a modernization upgrade to existing blast rooms.
Safety and Maintenance
Dura-Doors are designed to prevent accidental collapse or falling. Even a torn rubber apron will not cause the door to fall. To prevent damage to the door or workpieces the operator must physically hold the up/down button in position. As soon as the button is released the door stops.
The NORD drive is fitted with manual brake release and winding shaft/nut. This will allow the door to be opened or closed in case of electrical failure.
Blastroom Dura-Door Components
Rotary Limit
Open and closed position of the door is controlled by rotary limit switch mounted to the door drive. Mounting position prevents limit switch damage.
Powder Coating
Main frame, panels and all components are powder coated to provide a tough durable finish that will last for years without corrosion.
Controls
Door control buttons are mounted to the main electrical control panel. Satellite up/down buttons are mounted at door location. Switch must be held in for door to operate as a safety precaution.
Side Guides
Formed side guides track the door up and down and provide dust free sealing during blasting.
Custom Seal
For blastrooms with rails, or other obstructions, at door/floor intersection purpose built seals can accommodate the sealing.
Laminated Rubber
Doors are fabricated from a tough SBR laminated rubber. Doors are made to prevent tearing and in the event of damage will not fall or collapse.
